Returns and exchange details

Returns
We no longer accept returns on any item due to problems taking them in the past. Sorry about that!

Payment
You do not need a Paypal account to use Paypal. Paypal allows you to check out with your credit card or debit card (there is a button for that when Paypal directs you to complete your payment).

If you pay with an E-CHECK your order will not ship until your payment clears. That takes an additional 3-5 business days (international ones take longer). This will extend the processing and shipping time on your order. For faster turnaround, we recommend using your credit or debit card through Paypal.

Wisconsin residents are charged 5% tax on orders.

Shipping

I usually pack your order within a few hours so please let me know ASAP if you need to cancel it.

I ship Monday through Friday via USPS First Class mail. I ship orders within 24 to 48 hours, not including weekends and holidays. You will receive an email notice when your order has shipped.

Within the US, delivery generally takes 2-5 days. If you have a deadline, I will do my best to send your package ASAP. Please let me know your time line via the notes.

I add tracking to all my packages and can generally trace them when they go astray. Still, once I give packages to the postal service, I am no longer in control. Occasionally, delivery takes a bit longer than expected.

For International orders: Once your package leaves the United States we no longer have control over tracking and delivery. We cannot refund or replace lost packages overseas.

For very fast service, you may request Priority Shipping or Express Shipping. I will convo you with the extra shipping charge. Orders will not be sent until I receive the additional payment. Please pay the extra shipping quickly so I can get your package on its way.

When either US or international orders go astray, it is often due to a problem with the shipping address. To limit errors on my end, I copy and paste the shipping address directly from PayPal. Please make sure the address that's selected at checkout is where you'd like your package sent.
* If you have moved, please double check that you have updated the address.
* If you want the package sent to a business address or address with multiple units, please make sure to include the business name and suite number.
* You may wish to inform family members that you are expecting a package so they don’t discard it without your knowledge.

Packages returned to me due to an incomplete address will be sent again after you pay additional shipping charges or the order will be refunded (minus the original shipping charges).

CrankyCakesShop ships worldwide even when the listing lacks shipping charges specific to your country! Please contact me with a list of what you'd like to order and I'll create a custom listing with the actual shipping cost.

How long will it take to get my order?

The majority of orders ship within 24 hours so only a couple days within the US!

Why is the shipping so expensive?

A large set of plates weighs enough that it needs to be shipped Priority Mail at a minimum of $6.50. When you add additional plates, cups, napkins, etc. the weight of the package can jump quite fast. Paper does not mean lightweight. If you're concerned about shipping please write me with your full address and the items you'd like to order and I will weigh everything and get back to you with the most accurate shipping quote. The closer you live to Wisconsin the less expensive shipping will be.
